SIENA FARMS 2010 CSA Membership Programs

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a collaboration between farmers and their customers to provide the year-round support needed to plant the fields each spring, and to create an intimate, season-long relationship between the farm and its customers. Your pre-season investment as a CSA member helps cover all of the upfront costs of the growing season (seeds, supplies, labor, etc.) before the harvest of fresh, home-grown produce begins in early summer.

Choose between our two CSA membership programs and three locations:

"Farmer’s Choice" BoxShare Membership: Pick up your "BoxShare" of Siena Farms produce at Sofra Bakery in Cambridge every Thursday afternoon/evening, or on the Farm in Sudbury anytime on Thursdays. Your half-bushel box will contain a nice variety of the best of what our fields have to offer week-to-week throughout the 2010 harvest. The BoxShare harvest will begin on Thursday, June 3 and continue for 25 weeks, finishing for the season on Thursday, November 18, the week before Thanksgiving. Any week you are not around to pick up your veggies, you are welcome to send a friend in your place. A BoxShare Membership costs $750 for the season (averaging $30/week of produce).

"Chef’s Choice" Market Membership: You’re the Chef, so you get to choose! This program differs from the traditional CSA model in that you simply shop to your heart’s content as often as you like at our Copley market stand Tuesdays and Fridays and/or at the Farm on Wednesdays, using your member’s discount off our market prices on all of our produce. A Market Membership costs $500 and rewards you with a 50% discount on any and all purchases of Siena Farms produce throughout the entire harvest season, starting in late May and finishing by Thanksgiving. This program is designed for the ambitious home chef who wants very affordable access to all of our produce, all season long.

• Periodic e-newsletters including recipes from Sofra and Oleana and updates from the fields;

• An invitation to our annual farm tour hosted by our husband and wife team, Farmer Chris Kurth of Siena Farms and Chef Ana Sortun of Sofra / Oleana.
